Girls Night In

I decided to host a Girls Night In this year, Cancer has touched quite a few people close to me and I thought that the Girls Night In was a great way to show my support, raise some money and have a great time. In total I raised just over $550.00 so I was quite happy with that - Thank you to everyone that came along and gave generously.

Being the mother of three boys I also loved the excuse to hold a pink themed party - so I sent the boys off camping for the weekend so the girls could play. I have a few pics of the room, food and games but I got so busy on the night forgot to get out my camera to take some pics of everyone . . . Ooops

It was a bit of work to pull it all together but it was fun and for a great cause so I'm keen to sign up again next year and hopefully with the help of some friends aim for a bigger and better event next year . . .

The stars that decorated the ceiling . . . Thanks to Nat who helped me prepare for the night (I couldn't have got it all done with out you)

The thank you gift bags for everyone who attended . . .

My Girls Night In was actually a Girls GAMES Night In, so here were the lucky (or unlucky) whichever way you choose to look at it, contestant chairs . . .

We played lots of different games, here are some of the game sheets . . .

Games like quizzes, taboo, name that movie, finish the song line, I was glad to see that Michelle knew as much about Dirty Dancing as me . . . and Juleigh seemed to watch all the same TV shows as me . . .

Celebrity head . . . Thanks to Jill for getting me involved I was meant to be the quiz master with all the answers just watching . . . And after a long round of celebrity head I finally realised I was Britney Spears!!!

Yes even charades for kids . . .
Display of some of the sponsors of the night . . .

The table setting . . . pink, pink, pink

Everyone out did themselves with the food, here is just a small selection of the PINK food . . . There was heaps more, everything pink that you could tink of I think we had

The following cakes were donated by Stewarts Simply Delicious Cakes . . . They had mini cakes for everyone to sample and a larger cake that was given away as a prize (Congrats to Lauren, who was the winner of the Cake)

Stawberry tulips . . .

And what do you drink at a pink themed party? PINK wine of course

And this is the sign of a good party coming to and end . . . Oh well don't be too sad we can look forward to a bigger and better Girls Night In next year

I think everyone enjoyed themselves and had a lot of fun playing some old fashioned games. There were lucky door prizes given away on the night and 4 major prizes:
