So Why was BJ not looking at the Camera at the ScienceCentre?

Well most of you guessed right - because he was too busy looking at HIMSELF in the Mirror!!

If there is a mirror around - Bj is most probably looking at himself in it, Not to look how good he looks or anything like that but to practice pulling silly faces - below is a small sample of the many faces he can pull . . . No surprise that one of his favourite books is WHEN THE WIND CHANGED he loves to try and copy the faces that the boy makes . . .

He is definatly going to be the CLASS CLOWN!!!

Success At The Dinner Table

Our dinner time usually consists of a constant battle with Brayden to eat his dinner. It started with I don't like vegetables, or I don't like that meat, or I don't like rice and then became I don't like DINNER (and generally he does not even try to pick up his fork to give anything a try). . . With threats of getting sent to bed early or missing out on dessert falling on deaf ears dinner time has become a big chore in our house . . .

But a couple of nights ago we had SUCCESS at the dinner table - I made Egg and Bacon Pie and Brayden LOVED it - having 2nd and 3rd helpings - even eating the corn on the cob to go with it (he did leave the other veggies but we won't worry about that yet).

So it looks like Egg and Bacon Pie will now make it to one of our weekly meals and hopefully we can have a few more enjoyable dinners (fingers crossed) . . .

Christmas Day!

It was off to Nanna & Pa's for Lunch a traditional Christmas Lunch with all the trimmings. . .

Here are the cousins (minus Riley who was sound asleep) . . .

The cutest little reindeer cakes that Nanna made!
All the kids were spoilt, spoilt, spoilt with toys and more toys and for the adults it was Secret Santa this year with it all organised on line and worked fantastically (if any one wants details of the website for next year let me know) . . . then the fun began with guessing who bought for who . . .
All the presents had been wrapped in gold paper - and I had all the labels made on the computer - so there was no handwriting to give away the identity of the Santa's so how to figure it out . . .
My immediate thought:
Look how people have cut out the labels and stuck them on (the neatest one will be Danielle's).
Danielle's thought when wrapping the present don't do it neat because they will guess it was me!
So that idea didn't work:
Maybe look at what people gave each other maybe that would lead to who brought what?
NO, post people went off the on line wish list making shopping a breeze and everyone happy as they got what they wanted . . .
So the only thing left to do was just keep guessing people till you got it right!!!

Christmas Morning

Well did they all make it to the Nice list and did Santa bring presents or Coal????

It was around 8pm Christmas Eve when Brayden finally made it to the nice list (lachie and Riley were already there) so once he was on the nice list we quickly set about getting the boys ready for bed before Brayden could have a chance of spoiling things and going back to the Naughty side.

So about 20 minutes later they were all in bed and we all woke up Christmas morning to three big Santa sacks (new Santa sacks this year - yes you guessed it Nanna had been hard at work again) . . . full of presents

And why isn't there a picture of Riley opening his presents?? Well he spotted the shortbread biscuit that we had left out that Santa, that he didn't eat (we put out 4 biscuits and he ate 3 of them) so Riley was more that happy to sit and eat while all the choas from the other two was going on.

The Christmas Centrepiece

This year the boys and I made a Gingerbread House for the Christmas Table Centrepiece. The boys really loved decorating the house with lollies (and eating of course).

As you can see there are already two holes in he icing where Gary stole some lollies - he couldn't even leave it alone long enough for me to grab the camera!

Christmas Lights

Every family has their little Christmas traditions and one of ours is to visit the Christmas Lights on Christmas Eve (however this year we had to go a couple of nights earlier as we were having Gary's family over on Christmas Eve) . . .

It's always a night the boys really enjoy and are impressed by each of the houses . . . they loved the house that one first prize (south side) in the 4KQ Christmas Lights competition (some photo's below) but were also happy to see the other houses . . .

Funniest comment of the night
After seeing the 1st place home we then walked down the street where Brayden spotted a house with just a single star light in their window . . . Bj said "they only spent $1 and that's not going to win any prizes!!!"

Riley didn't really understand what all the fuss was about - but sure did like the lady handing out the lollies.

BJ doing his HO HO HO impressions with Santa!
