The Day It Snowed At Our House

Well not quite, but it came close.
We did have a huge storm, with lots of rain, wind and hail - which the boys were convienced was SNOW.

Although it was freezing it didn't stop the boys having a great time playing in the hail.

As you can see Brayden had to stand right in the middle, and then wondered why his hands and feel were numb.

Lachie being a little bit older and a little bit wiser realised pretty quickly just hold cold it was in your hands.

A winter storm may not be as much fun for adults - looking at cars packed in the driveway (visitors), watching for damage to trees and roofs and other items blowing around the yard . . . but it's a whole lot of FUN for kids.

I LOVE it when they play with me!

I love playing Footy with my brothers . . . They of course - have to play by MY Rules . . . which are
1. Let ME get the ball
2. You MUST crawl just like me . . .

3. You can let me think you are going to get the ball . . . but then remember number 1. I MUST get the ball.

But the most important rule is . . .
4. I WIN !!!

Lachie's 1st BMX Competition

On the weekend Lachie attended his first BMX Competition it was held at the Bayside BMX Club.

We had such a busy day that we got there a little late so it meant Lachie got no pratice time on the track. So it made it a little nerve racking to watch him go round the track in his first race, as there were a couple of tricky jumps and one tight corner - but he got round the track with no worries and came 5 out of 6.

He wants to thank Aunty Nat for coming out to watch - THANKS NAT

The second and third race lachie was in the same position each time - coming 5 out of 6 (but still really good for his first competition).

By the last race of the day (4th race) Lachie was a lot more confident going around the track and put in it all to come in at 3rd place.
You can see from this shot (blur in the back ground) that I am starting to get up some speed . . .

And Lachie was sooo happy to recieve his first trophy . . . All the kids got a trophy for the day but this will only happen till he turns 8 then it's only 1,2 and 3 to get the prizes.

Big smiles with my trophy that I'm soo proud of . . .

Yahoo Serious Lives Again

Yahoo Serious Lives Again (if you don't know who he is that means you are too young, or I am too old).

After playing outside whilst dad washed the car (from our rain water tank) mum decided my hair needed some style . . .

Do I pull it off???

If Only I Would Listen To Mum!!

If only I would listen to mum - then I would not be in this sad, sad, situation.

At playgroup I went up on the stage (where I know I should not be),
closed the curtains (again which I know I should not do)
Then started playing rough with Mitchell (again I have been told a thousand times not to do) - and this is the end result . . .

I ended up pushed into the brick wall, scarping my arm.
And being the total drama king I am, cried and cried for about 2 days and then proceeded to show everyone I met my bandaged arm (thanks to Jill the nurse - also Mitchell's mum for my very serious looking bandage - it sure did help in getting sympathy from everyone I met).
Sad, Sad, Brayden.

A Real Winter's Day

Winter's Days are few and far between these days - so we took advantage to brave the cold and see the wind in the trees, which is apparently pretty exciting to a little boy.

Here I am looking at the leaves blowing in the wind . . .
Big smiles as I am having fun

Here's my famous cheeky grin - my dad calls me "Smiley Riley"

Then it's back inside before I catch a cold.
